Question on hatchling care...

xka May 25, 2003 01:02 AM

We just had our first ever baby corn snake hatch this evening. I have raised several older hatchlings before, but not one straight out of an egg. Could anyone please tell me what I would feed something that small? I'm not sure pinkies come small enough. The little guy is about 6-7 inches long, and a 1/4 of an inch wide. It's also only about 2 hours old and running around like a mad thing. We're glad to see that it's healthy and active! =)

Also, is there anything else I can do for it to make the transition out of its egg easier?

Yes, believe it of not it will eat a pinky mouse, but try to find a day old one. Let it have it's first shed before you try to feed it.

Later,
Craig
