Eastern Indigos are protected here in Mississippi and may not be possesed. I have one permitted adult pair that I use in educational presentations, but am prohibited from breeding. Aside from a single additional snake at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, these are the only legal specimens in the state

Thats definitely not what i wanted to hear.

Read on another site you needed a special permit. Didn't realize that you couldnt get one at all if you didnt already have one.

Hi Terry; hope all is well. Why are they protected when they are assumed to be long extirpated in MS?
