Sangrias Finally Here!!!

Hermin Soler Jul 22, 2009 06:10 PM

Hello everyone. I have not posted here in a very long time but I had to share my excitement with everyone.

Back in the 2007-2008 breeding season, I bred my Sangria male to an albino female without success so I had to wait another year to see what was going on with these. Well this past season, his sibling was up to breeding size so I paired them up. She ended up producing a nice litter last night. All of the babies appear to be Sangrias. The bad news is, I will have to wait until next year to prove if this is simple recessive or co-dominant, but I would expect these be simple recessive just like the the central american blood boas(at least I hope).

I will post more pics once they shed.

Here is a link to a picture of the mother of this litter when she was just a few months old.

Congrats Hermin! It could not have happened to a nicer guy. This is VERY exciting! I am really happy for you! The Sibling is also a Sangria isn't it? If so, I'm betting simple recessive but you are right another breeding will be needed to prove it out. I'm sure you will be all over that one! Is the Sangria one of those Boas that Bill Parks told me about? I knew I should have pushed him more to get that Boa!

Congrats Hermin!
