Two guestions, 1 about calcium sand, and the other abot mating gecko.

alebron Sep 15, 2003 03:19 PM

1. I use calcium t-rex sand for my geckos for 5 years, but once in a while I hear romours that it can kill reptiles if ingested.

2. From time to time when my geckos mate, my female has her neck slighty bent. Is this anything to worry about or it is normal.

personally, i used the t-rex calci sand for almost 4 years, with no problems. so i would never hesitate to use it. if the female is still acting and eating normally, don't worry about it.

Well my female has been walking normally and eats like a pig. Only once it got so bad she had trouble moving, and rolled around, but that was a while ago and she made a full recovery in only 1 week. Also my male is about 5 years old and is 9.5 inches, and my female is a tiny 8 inches.
