Hey all
Can you tell me if it´s the male or female that gets bigger, when talking Pantherophis bairdi?

Thanks a lot

I don't really see much of a difference, if any.
If there is a difference the males may be a touch larger but it is insignificant.
here is a breeding pair. They are 7 years old and close to 5ft.

I defer to Jimmy's judgment on this one but my Mexican male and my Davis Mt. male are both about a foot longer than the same year females, just throwin' that in the pot.

Males generally are somewhat larger than females, as in all Pantherophis spp., or even most Lampropeltinids for that matter. In some bloodlines this sex related difference in size is more obvious than in others.
