Camera q's ....

I have a good camera, but I can't seem to take consistently good shots. It is really good outdoors in natural lighting, but indoors, I can't figure out a good setting. It either drains color out or Makes them unrealistically glow.

Any suggestions? What settings? What cameras do you all use?

I have a very hard time with taking pics. I upgraded my camera and purchased a Canon SX 10 IS. I like it but Im so clueless when it comes to settings and stuff.. Only thing helpfull I can tell you is there is a setting called Super Macro that is the best for close up pics. The Canon I got was probally the best bang for the buck. Still a higher end camera and was I think $350. Hope that helps a bit

Would be helpful to know what kind of camera you're using. When indoors, what kind of light. Do you use flash? Do you use the manual settings on your camera or just "full auto" or "macro" mode.

Also would be helpful to know if you're using any kind of background, be it paper, cloth, wood, brick, grass, etc..
