Here he is in 2008, wayyy "back then". I'm w/ Shannon on the locality thing. Have been back up to this snake's area in Kern 2X this year looking for a female for him, but no luck so far.

Thanx for the compliments guys.
Yeah, Shannon, I agree. Only other King I found out there was another little male, exactly same size, back in May. Deja Vu.

Wow, super clean beauty! I've been wanting one of those and haven't yet found one. My eastern Kern model was found in the general vicinity of Lake Isabella, a possible intergrade zone. I kept her because she appeared to my inexperienced eye to be a true B&W.

The black and white soon shifted to dark chocolate and cream...never the less, a lovely snake. The lighting in this pic is messed so looks much more black and white than she really is.

She is pretty much the color of this large, battle scared adult from the same area...

Funny thing about the little girl. She got out once in December and I found here in the hallway one night in March! She had been a really picky feeder, obviously due to winter, and I should have put her down, still after 3-4 months she appeared the same weight as before escape. I put her down last winter and she came out feeding well but has again slowed way down...she appears very healthy though and is still growing, albeit slowly. She's only around 3 feet now.
