tricked out pattern pastels

snakeman Jul 25, 2009 10:01 PM

The Liesen Line of Black Pastels has something going on that I still have not been able to explain. When I breed my original Black Pastel male to a normal female I get Black Pastels and a really tricked out pattern on what should be NORMAL patterned babies.
The pastels in the pic are from the first clutch I have produced by breeding my Black to a Pastel female. The clutch had 3 pewters, 3 pastels (pictured),1 black pastel and 1 tricked out normal. I hope I am on to creating a NEW dom/co-dom with this tricked out pattern. I have a tricked out male from o8 and will put him to work this fall trying to prove this pattern out. Wish me luck
Thanks for reading my story,
Gary Liesen

I like those. With most of our morphs creating more black-backs, stripes, and various reduced patterns, I really hope this proves out. I've always been a fan of busy-patterned ball pythons. If I weren't already a few years into my black pastel/pied project, I'd definitely be starting with those!
