Calling in for HR2811

thunderpaws Jul 27, 2009 01:30 PM

I have started making my calls and my emotions are getting the best of me. The tool bag taking calls for Congressman John Conyers does not want to talk to you, he does not want to hear what you have to say. He wants to not be bothered. So make sure you at least call this individual for sure. Everyone has been a pleasure to chat with. Make sure you tell them why this bill is not making any sense to you. How can our government be so stupid and so uneducated with something that so many people enjoy doing.

For the most part all of the offices I called would rather not be bothered....HOWEVER, I was just informaed that Congressman Rooney is looking to amend this bill tomorrow to specifically call out Burmese Pythons.

Also, the best person I reached was at Congressman Nadler's, gentleman was professional and courteous!

THEY CAN HEAR OUR COLLECTIVE VOICES!

Yes, Everyone other than the one guy I talked with was receptive to why I was so opposed to HR 2811. When my daughter called the same congressman a girl answered and was totally nice and courteous. All of my daughters and my friends called in to oppose this ridiculous bill. My god when I think about the things being sold everyday that are actually dangerous with no one caring at all about it, I just want to move out of the country. I will say this...I do not know how many times I can do this in the future. If they ultimately are going to want all pythons gone they are going to never stop trying. Maybe I am just not the right man for the fight. But I absolutely hate big government and I for one want to see a change on how bills are presented and written. I definitely think I have voted as a democrat for the last time. Republicans here I come....

Regards,
Bill

Trying being a ball python enthusiast AND a gun lover.
Then you're in my boat.

If government gets what they want, I lose my two favorite hobbies.
