Opinions on Freedom Breeder racks?

AshleyM Sep 15, 2003 05:00 PM

Hi all - my boyfriend and I are currently considering a future purchase of a Freedom Breeder rack for our BP collection (1.1 normals, 2.0 reduced patterns, 1.1 100% het for butterscotch ghost from Ian G's beautiful line, with plans to acquire some pastels and het albino breeding pairs, and start breeding in a year or two). I like the idea of open-air construction, as well as possibilities for customization and expansion (our collection is ever-growing, as fast as we can afford it!) I was hopeful that those of you who have Freedom Breeders could share your thoughts and experiences with them. Thanks!

My opinion.........
They are awesome, but EXPENSIVE! And I've seen too many with rust on them.

You can build racks with the same features for much less money.
I'm thrilled with my home-made racks (Sean @ EBN gave me the idea, I modified them a bit) and have plans to fill the room with them.
And I did it all for WAYYYYYY less than FBs.

E-mail me for pics if you'd like.

Later,
Jen
