My Ball Python

bfellin88 Jul 28, 2009 01:05 PM

I just got a new ball python from the pet store and it seems like it's been peeing alot more. I've had a couple ball pythons before and never had a snake pee this much. It's happened at least twice just today. I was wondering if it might be stress from a new enviroment change or anything else. any help would be appreciated

Hi,

You know about KS and you bought a ball python from a pet store? And now you are wondering why it could have a urinary infection. Get your receipt and take your sick snake back to the pet store and then come back to KS and buy yourself a healthy snake. You could take it to a vet but that would just cost you more money and anguish.

Regards,
Bill

basically what he said....

On the flip side-- I have some BPs that pee a storm and soak the cage-- and some that are never wet-- all are healthy.

If its peeing that much I'd return it-- granted most stores don't take returns on live animals so you can take it to a vet but ya.... would have been better off spending a little more and getting a healthy snake off the classifieds and paying shipping- or searching for someone local to you and getting one that way.

Good luck either way.
