Handling with sweaty hands

clemmej01 Jul 29, 2009 08:50 AM

My hands are usually sweaty and when I handle my snake it gets stuck and its movement is often jerky or jumpy. So I am wearing thin surgical gloves so it can move freely. I don't mind much. I can still feel the snake (breathing, scales, constrictions, temp...).

Does anyone have an opinion on my approach? I don't really think it matters but I am open to what you think/know.

My hand sweat after coffee or "Monster" so I know the feeling and typically avoid handling at that time.

btw, that's an interesting looking king...got any closer pics?

I need to take more pics....

There are forms of Kings that are naturally more brown. But what I was told when I bought it was that it was a "Hypo Cali King", so I have to assume that it was bread to be an abnormal cali king (black w/ white or yellow).

Anyway, it's gorgeous little thing (growing fast). This picture was taken a day before it shed so it's color is more pale and washed out than normal, and the eyes are milky.
