Sav monitor breeding

Krystal_R Jul 29, 2009 09:09 PM

Why is it that savs will not breed in captivity?
Are there any ideas?

Mostly its lazieness. That and it is FAR cheaper to import them then spend the time and money needed to breed them. They are imported for less then $10 is is impossable to breed them for that much.

Of corse they can be bred everything can be bred. I have bred them and I know several people who do. Just because most people take the easy way out and by a cheap, crappy import dosen't mean there arn't a few of us out there trying to change things and put some good quality captive born savanahs on to the market

You would have to market them differently. You could charge more because they are captive born and not CH or WC.

Alot of people don't realise this but male lizards are extremely sexually perverted. They try to mate with anything that slightly resembles a lizard they have no shame.
