Tiger rat

they are a large, "handful" as you say type of snake. They always want to go up above everyone. People have the tendency to thing a tiger rat snake is flighty and aggresive because of this. IMHO.

My limited experience is with my two adults. They're wild caught but have become tame and pretty easy to handle. They never bite, but they like to bluff from time to time. They're both well over 8' long and and can grip any object before you know what happened. They're downright immpressive to handle.

You're right about how impressive tiger rat snakes are especially when you're handling one with someone watching. My female is 6 plus feet and it's one of the few times you don't have to ask someone to step back. LOL. I really enjoy mine. Now if they would just cooperate and breed. Good luck
