crested gecko housing

i have leos and would like to get 2-3 crested geckos but i have already put lots of money into my leo tanks i've read some about using rubbermaid tubs for cresteds since they don't need the high heats. what is the cheapest way to keep 2-3 cresteds? and is it ok to keep them in the tubs? thanks for any and all advice/help.
