22 Healthy Neonates - zero slugs

tcdrover Jul 30, 2009 09:17 PM

Nothing spectacular, just some Harlequin dbl hets & hypo dbl
hets. I'll probably keep all of the obvious harlequin hypos.

It's interesting how different these are to baby hogs, which are
what I'd been breeding recently. My hog neonates were always
very long and lean. These guys are much shorter and stockier.

I was pretty surprised. The mother isn't that big. I was
expecting around 13 neonates. Next year will be really exciting...

Thanks, that's him below. I think I'll probably try and sell
him or trade him now. I've got a bunch of nicer males lined
up for my other girls.

"Nothing spectacular"

lol
you crack me up!

Those are some great looking babies, I see some standouts already and they all look so clean! Too bad you didn't get more with abarrant patterns. Can't wait to see what those look like after a shed or two, I bet they pop with color!

Pairing these two up?

That will be some serious color! I'm not so sure about any
aberrencies. In a couple of years I'll pair up both
hypo harlequins, after I give this mother a year off.
I'm sure at least a few stripes will show up then.
