hi guys i was wondering whether i should get a yellow tree or green tree and if you could put a picture of an adult size isnt the issue i just want to see what they look like ive seen babies but havent seen too many adults so thanks

V.melinus is actually a member of the indicus complex and should not be considered a tree monitor. They have some arboreal tendencies but are a much larger and heavier animal than anything in the prasinus complex and, are more prone to digging. I don't think either species is a good captive unless you have quite a bit of experience with monitors to begin with. v.melinus is very shy and this makes caring for them extremely difficult. You won't see much of them and when you do they will quickly disappear back into their hides. V.prasinus are difficult to acclimate and their skinny build makes them much more unforgiving to keeper error.

i am expierienced with monitors as i have had timors waters and savannahs and work with both species so thanks anyways
