Curing driftwood

fatjay Aug 02, 2009 05:17 PM

I want to construct a natural looking pad for my future beardie to chill, but instead a paying 40 bucks for a dry stick I was thinking about curing my own driftwood. I've read a bit about it and, from what I've gathered, there are basically 2 methods.
I could soak it in bleach/water mix for about 4 hours or I could bake it. Although the temperatures and times for baking are pretty vague.
Has anybody tried this? What would you say is a good temp and time to bake the wood?
Thanks in advance
JaY

Do the bleachwater, then out in the sun for a few days! Should do the trick just fine.
