Need advice on a florida softshell habitat design...

Id like to get one and use a 20L tank. But i want the housing to be more functional than for looks. i want it to be easy to clean and make the turtle happy. A seperate water body container is already part of the idea, but im not sure what to use, and how to make it where the turtle can get in and out of it. I was thinking either 50/50 land to water or 25/75 land to water. I used to keep water turtles when i was little(6 yrs old), and all it consisted of was an aquariam of about 3 inch deep water and a big rock that only 1 could get on at a time, and now looking back on it, i realize that was alllll wrong, although, the turtles never seemed to mind lol. Anyhelp on the subject would be very helpfull. Does the water need to be heated some, should i just use a bulb for a basking spot? All these im not sure of, im so used to keeping snakes now.

Buy a 20l or larger and about a 1/3 of the way use a piece of glass and some silicone to make a slope, then fill in the small side with gravel and sand and plants and the other side with water...and there ya go...
