Odd lumps inside of snake, please advise

Burmuda Sep 15, 2003 07:17 PM

I caught this snake back in August he has 6 lumps inside of him since I caught him. He's eaten earth worms, feeder fish and pinky mice, theyve passed through his sytstem. He still has the lumps on him, could they be parasites? or what?

Sometimes gravid females wont pass their ova/stillborn babies if not given proper care. A hide box,temp,etc...Sex the snake and feel for solid masses. I sometimes squeeze the belly and try and move them around to see if that dislodges something. If they are stillborn they can kill the snake by rotting inside...and a vet may be in order,GOOD LUCK,Jeff

the lumps are near the neck and middle of the spine. i think it might be broken bones, or fractures.
