Got this girl from a buddy that is moving out of the country, i got a normal male with her also. these are my first pythons, should be interesting

Hmm really? i compared her to many of the ones for sale on the classifieds and she looks it to me. Just curious why you dont think she is?

interesting, he bought it at the Hamburg PA show as a yellow baby, i figured that it just "browned out" (or so i have read) like most pastels do.

Yup, that's a normal. A pastel is more than just a yellow baby.

yeah, well he bought it as a pastel, guess he got hosed. Oh well then i will have fun with these guys regardless, thanks for the info

Hey there, She is definately a Normal type but here is a suggestion. Now that you have a female near breeding size pick yourself up a new baby male Pastel, feed her well this year as well as feeding your new male Pastel and you could breed them next fall. Get her up to a good size put them together next year and wha lah, you will have a clutch of Pastel and Normal babies. That way the Pastel thing is not a total loss. The good thing about buying a male Pastel to breed her too is that they are one of the most affordable Morphs you can get these days. I'd say you can get one just about anywhere for $100. Good luck

Hey, thanks for the response to my post. I am not considering this a loss, i got a ton of corns with the deal, and one of the corns value is over the cost of the deal total, so all in all i am happy with the deal. i am a corn and king enthusiast and saw an inexpensive way to get a new project to give a shot, more of a learning experience thing. i can get some pastels at wholesale right now too through the store i work at. Thanks though that is a good idea, and you do have a point there
