black and gold bulls

ginter Aug 03, 2009 10:08 PM

Check out these new little bulls I hatched out. "BLACK & GOLDS" .They are the product of mixed locality parents,(Kankakee Co. dark bulls X Stillwater hypo bulls X Kingsville red bulls). They seem to have the default carmel ground of the not so red kingsville line and the super dark saddles of the Kankakee bulls. These are the product of fairly normal looking F2 parents. Out of the ten eggs hatched 7 look like this (Black and Gold) and three of them came out hypo which look pretty much like any old stillwater.

i have question i you would answer it for me i would appreciate it....about how big are bull hatchlings?....i have a regular bull that is now 38".....he was 24 when my nephew go him august of last year....and was wondeing if 24" was average for a hatchling a few weeks old or more the size of a yearling?

ginter Aug 05, 2009 07:36 PM

my guess is that the animal was at least a year old when your nephew got it, ( if understand the size and timeline correctly)

PS check out these cool looking "Flame" Bullsnakes....... product of a Stillwater hypo X Kingsville red bullsnake project!

Geez John, throw some water on those quick before they burst into flames! Very nice!
El Toro Loco, yep hatchlings go about 12" long, that is a yaerling at 24" or close to it with small feedings.
