Yeah it is an exciting thing. My monitor Jango shed only a little bit in his first 10 months. I got him at 6 inches total length, he only grew to a foot total length in 10 months and when he shed it was small amounts. So I changed my ways and fed him daily (than opposed to feeding him crickets about 3 times a week) I gave him mice every other day, and meats those days in between. He has grown 8 inches total length since June. Thats almost double his size. That is about 2 and a half months as well. In June I also got him a 40 gallon tank. Guess what? Hes growing out of it, and sometime this week I plan to build him a 6x3x3 enclosure. I am very excited that he is finally starting to shoot up. I know it took 10 months and now hes about a year old, but hes finally growing, and fast. Good luck with yours!
