Mystery Clutch

RussBates Aug 04, 2009 07:02 PM

Sires used were a hypo (orange ghost) and a mojave poss het for albino and damn is a het orange ghost. Of the 4 that are out of the egg one looks like a regular mojave, 2 look like a hypo mojave and one looks to be a hypo. Could it be I've got two sires contributing and what are the odds of getting hypo mojaves?

You be the judge. I've hatched several other mojaves this summer and none of them look like these. Pretty cool these balls are.

I'm no expert, but I'd wait until they shed... not sure there are hypos in there from that picture? Am I the only one to think that way?

Good luck though, hypo mojaves are hot!

Regards,
Bristen.

I too felt teh same but they definately look different than any other hatchling mojaves I've seen. Do you have a hypo mojave picture?

bristen Aug 05, 2009 11:14 AM

no I don't, but you can always try Google... there aren't that many around for some reason...

Here are a few I found when quickly searching via Google:

after looking at yours I'm thinking not. They do look different and not a normal bay in the clutch (at least what I consider normal).
Thanks,
Russ

Perhaps the hypo mojaves are actually het albino mojaves that just need to color up -- seems to be a lot of that going around lately.

I think they are just light mojaves; please post more pics after they've shed. It should be more obvious what they are then.

Interestingly enough, I have a female mojave het hypo that is one of the lightest mojaves that I've seen. Here's a picture of her:

probably right. I will post pics after shed because I want you to see the entire clutch when compared to other mojaves I hatched this year. Nice looking snakes you got there. I do see much brighter yellows in the male mojave used compared to a backup mojave I have in my snake room.
Thanks,Russ
