male breedable size ??

aplusserpents Aug 04, 2009 07:04 PM

hey everyone,
my question today is: how big does a male westen hognose have to be to breed?
i've always waited untill my males were at least 100 grams. and that always worked out fine.
but i just read an ad that said the 2 males for sale were breedable size. they were 46 and 50 grams.
i am asking because i have an '07 male that is 54 grams now and if he keeps eating like he is, he will be a little bigger when it's time to brumate him. soo i will be able to breed him next year. which would be very cool.
any info would be graet. thanks

Arguably, you could breed him now. Next year for sure. I'm not sure of an exact gram weight for breeder size males, but no reason to wait for 100g.
