New Rack.

Jeremy L. Sep 15, 2003 08:05 PM

I had to make room for new hatchlings and hopefully new geckos I'll be shopping for at the Tinley park show in Oct. Eight shelves that hold 24,12 qt. containers. Temp is controlled by 4 dimmers that are attached to two shelves each. My old rack is now sporting 18, 12 qt. containers. Thanks for checking it out. Later, Jeremy.

Do you know where I might be able to get a rack like that or similar to that in a way? Thanks a lot.

I built this one myself. There are some very nice ones made by several companies. Check the top of the page. http://www.boaphileplastics.com/ And http://www.e2macpets.com/default.php,sells animal plastics racks which are very nice. Hope this helps, Jeremy.

Hey, very nice rack! I built one similar recently that is 5 shelves holding 2 27 quarts per shelf. What kind of wood/shelving did you use? What kind of heating method? Flexwatt? 3 in? I just got in my 3 in flexwatt heat tape today and I havent installed it and the dimmers onto my rack yet. Im a little confused about how to set it up and I want to make sure I set it up right so I dont short out the house or electrocute myself or something. How exactly do you set up the electrical components? Any help would be great. Thanks
