wood question?

besides driftwood that you buy from the pet store, is there any other wood (like oak or cypress or something) that i can use to make a branch for my beardies cage? thanks...

I think you can use any hardwood. I've heard that sap from pine etc. is bad but any hardwood should be fine.

any wood is fine, though cedar should be avoided completely and most other pines/coniferous trees. Though if the pine is very well dried and the sap long dried out, it may be alright but if it smells like pine to you, don't use it.

Safest way is to just stick to hard woods that have been completely dried and cleaned (either soaking in bleach or baked in the oven for several hours at a low temperature (200-300F is fine)
