"amel mels"

These albino melanistic thayeri and melanistic thayeri hatched a couple of weeks ago. Everyone knows these are not pure albino thareri but this is as close at it gets and these are the only ones in existance. Bob Potts

Amazing! I knew some where working on this project but had no idea they would turn out like that. In my limited eperience with black thayeri there was almost always some residual pattern visible. I thought that this residual pattern would show through in the albino form. Guess I was wrong, darn that's twice now!

If you look carefully on the Albinos, you can see the pattern faintly. Very cool! I find it interesting that they all turned out to be carrying the Melanistic gene. I thought this was an unpredictable gene, i.e. breeding a hypermel to a hypermel does not necessarily produce hypermels.

Even though they are not pure, it is still pretty cool to see. Nice job!!

In my original post I stated these were the only "Amel Mels". There has been a few others produced. It was early and I got confused another project. Bob Potts
