Ok guys, whats the deal? It seems that all the post about Philodryas seem to go... ignored except by the european guys(who kick butt too).
I just wanna know why do you guys lack interest in these beautifal guys?

#1 They are absolutely stunning.

#2 They are fun to watch, they are constantly out and about during the daylight hours.

#3 The feeding responce is incredible, reminds me of all the stories I've heard about boomers.

C'mon come up with some questions or something or bug Scott Solar at Amazon Reptile to sell you his last one! These snakes demand interest!

I agree with you man!
Philodryas are the best snakes ever! I am a big fan of rear-fanged snakes and some crotalids specially PHILODRYAS. In my opinion Philodryas are great for the vivarium: they are very active(excellent for a planted natural vivarium), good looking, nice feeders, and some times very tame(but don't like handling LOL). My prefered species are:
1°Philodryas olfersi(of course lol)
2°P. mattogrossensis(I have seen one alive and its belly color is awesome!)
3°P.nattereri
Soon as possible, when I get a digital camera, I'll post the pics of my Philodryas and their new terrariums, builded by me just for them.
See ya
