I posted a pic of the first Sangria litter last week. This is the first one to shed. There is so much going on with these guys and they are all different.

Here is the second one to shed.

screamin nice dude!
and I liek the name! Bloody red aka sangria!
You said you bred to sangrias together in your earlier post so there should have been supers in this litter. Wonderful color for real though.
WOW Those are really special! Are they some sort of extreme pastel morph like the marron's! Is there a super form. What ever they are I'm glad to see that it is genetic 8) Would love to own one of those and breed it into a jungle or albino or anything LOL.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards JAKE
Jake, I am not 100% sure yet what kind of genetics are involved here. I bred some CH siblings that I got a while back and bred them together this past season. All the babies appear to be of the same type with some variations. However, I will have to breed them next year to a Non-Sangria to see if it is a Co-Dom or Simple Recessive trait or if there are any visual hets involved here. Only time will tell for sure. I am guessing and hoping it is simple recessive similar to the traits of the Blood Boas in Central American's.

Really cool coloration. What's the story on these Herman?

~ ASK ME ABOUT MY BALLS ~
Hi!
First: Big congrats! They look great. Even if they don't proof out to be a single gene mutation, they still are very handy to improve the basics.
Here is my thing:
They don't look like bloodreds. Though I see the red color, I do not see similarities with bloods. Bloods have markers like black eyes and stuff. I think it is something even cooler:
Axanthic boa!
I am missing yellow pigments! They are very red, because that is all that's showing, besides the greys and the blacks!
Imagine what will happen if you would remove all the reds, it will be a very very very grey, not brown, animal. AND remove the greys and the black: PURE WHITE aka Blizzard!
This is my thought, and I think you have a very nice project IF it proves out for you. It takes years, so I wish you patience
Greetings from Holland,
Eabele.
ps. I would like some comments on this.
