This pairing of a female bee and a male spider would produce ???? or what would be better to mate the female bee too
As far as my studies have gone (which is only a year or so this is by no mean Bible truth), there is no super form of the spider gene, some would even say that the super form of the spider is fatal causing more eggs not to reach full term. From what I had gathered from talking to different breeders back when I was researching this it appered that most people didn't recommend breeding spider to spider cariers. With that said it is up to you, there is always the possiblelity that there is a super spider yet to be found; however, if there is not a super spider then your oddes are a little better then breeding your bumble bee to a normal. I would recommend that you look at some of the other bee morphs out there and see what else you could go for, I personally like the killer bee, which you would only need a pastel or super pastel for, or if you are like my wife shot for a queen bee, which you would only need a lesser for. Other wise keep in mind that the bee patern is very nice as is and there are many different genes that really enhance colors in the morphs... Not to metion you could always try for something new. The best thing to remember is a bee to anything can still produce a bee so there really isn't a win lose situation you will have odds for some great babies either way.

I would agree with the above postings. There are alot of very very nice male dominate or codom males that you could pair with a female bumblebee. I'm pairing my female bumblebee with a male lemon blast this season. What else do you have besides a spider for your male breeders? Have fun with whatever decision that you make. You should look into throwing a cinnamon pastel to the bumblebee. There are some very nice combos to be made with that. Pewters, cinnabee, pewterbee, cinnamon, bumblebee, pastel, spider and normals. Good luck....
