geraldsnakes Aug 07, 2009 10:50 AM

hi i have a trio and albino labyrinths and i was thinking of maybe getting a piar of hypos...what would i have to do to get labyrinth hypos? or is it hypo labyrinths... i've never breed burms so if anyone can point me toward a website or book that has genetics info that would be great, thanks...

I am kinda new to the burm genetics but from what I understand is Hypo's are a co-dom gean, and labyrinth is recessive so you'd have to breed the laby to the hypo and you would get half of your litter will be hypos het for laby and the other half will be normals het for laby. you then would have to breed the hypo het for laby to another labyrinth or a het for labyrinth to produce labyrinth hypos

sorry if this sounds confusing, over all this is what you'd need to produce hypo labys

Hypo Het. Labyrinth X Het Labyrinth
or
Hypo Het. Labyrinth X Labyrinth
