When I produced the hogg island x blood boa cross a few years ago it was to produce blood boas that retained pattern and stayed red. So far I think that is working well. What I hadn't thought about was the anerys and pewters that might be produced since the blood boa father was a het for type 2 anery. One of my litters this year had 2 anerys 66% possible het for blood and a pewter. What I am very impressed by is the degree of hypomelanism in these boas. I think these are some of the best looking ghosts I have seen especially with the darker body color of the pewter. Just like the 50% hogg island bloods aren't getting darker, I think the pewter will get lighter over time as the hogg island influence is more expressed. As an anery fan I find this an interesting variation in the anery boa morphs. I am posting an anery with a possible het for blood and anery, an anery with the pewter and the pewter with a blood from another litter this year.
