LOST MY CHMELEON TONIGHT : (

svt03cobra Sep 15, 2003 09:31 PM

so tonight i lost my 9 month old female veiled. lately i found that she hasnt been the same so i got her checked out.. she started growing a bump on her head. i thought it was a tumor but the guy i got her from said some growths like that are normal, so just keep and eye on it and see what happens.. about a week goes by and over night i noticed a growth by the eye and it was discolored, also i saw her jaw was open and not centered. now i knew things were serious so i took her back and they thought it might be lack of calcium and a vitamin deficientcy. i forgot to mention i havent noticed her eating a couple days before to. so i went home dusted a cricket with a calcium supplement and hand fed it to her. she opened her mouth and then i saw it. it had a lil mouth rot. so she took the cricket in her mouth but didnt chew. while it was in her mouth she started going to the bathroom, and her poop had blood in it. now i started thinking it was cancer. well she didnt eat the cricket and now today i found her dead with her mouth open and her eyes open at the bottom of her cage. needless to say i am in tears. i never knew a little friend like that could mean so much. well, enough of me crying i just had to get it out. thanks for listening guys.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. You don't know how attached you are until they are gone.

Wishing you the best
