my dumb self

I thought my spotted python was going into shed about a week ago, but then i checked on him later and he was clearer again. I know they loose their opaqueness again soon before they shed, but it had been a few days so i thought maybe i was just seeing things the first time. I just fed him and then decided to offer him another large pinkey after the first (he is about 7 months old) because he is outgrowing those.

Anyway, when I went to give him the second one he was already halfway completely shedded. from just 5 minutes after the first mouse. hopefully i didnt stress him out too much.

Don't worry about it! In the wild, these guys are very opportunistic feeders! If a mouse came across it's path while it was shedding, will it eat? Well, you've already answered that! All you did, was supply the prey!

don't worry about it. My argentine boa started shedding while eating a rabbit. Looked very odd and I wish to god I'd had a camera at the time.
