vitelline bag....

Lisabeth Aug 09, 2009 06:49 AM

A baby BD hatched this night and this morning he still have his vitellin bag attached to him...but it is huge! He can almost walk on it.

The baby looks healthy and he is vigourous (he even bit me when I tried to catch him!).

So, what can I do? Can I cut it?? There is vermiculite stick on it...

I let him in the incubator for the moment.

Thanks for any help!

Hey Lisabeth,

Do not cut it......it will fall of by itself.

Get him on a smooth substrait as well. Papertowels or something that will not stick to him.

That's what I just did.
I cleaned the yolk sac and I put him in a little fauna box with paper towell and I let him in the incubator.

Thanks
