I honestly don't see a resemblence in the desert to a desert ghost. Why would you use the same name be used for two different traits? It would be like saying a Pastel Jungle is a different trait than a Pastel. I think the name should be changed imho. I would really like to hear all of your opinions on this.

If you are going to complain about the naming of balls there are others before the desert. Black pastels and cinnamon pastels aren't pastels at all.

It is two completely different morphs as Mike said. I have the co-dom desert and people always confuse it with the recessive so I understand where your coming from.
