That's a very pretty Boa, but I don't think it will prove out to be a Jungle.

I think it's just a pretty Normal Boa.

i think it is for sure a jungle its got the well defined circles on the head and looks like some good color differential in the tail its just a real low expession jungle id bet the farm on it lol regards

yeah thats the thing with buying poss jungles there only ever going to be low expresion but you get what you pay for dont you. Its the eyes for me that give it away there so gold and he is only a few months old and the yellow is starting to come wonder what he will look like in a year or 2

The Mottled tongue? I heard some (not all) Jungles have either
have a black tongue with pink splashes, or vice versa. I am on
the fence, but would say yes. There is some indicators

interesting, never heard about the tongue before.

In the thread "EBV Red Group x Salmon Jungle" I posted pics of my two jungles and you can see the male's tongue is all black. I do notice that both of mine have a red tint in the upper part of the eye, it's not super noticable but is there. I've heard jungles tend to have that red tint. I'll have to check out the tongue on my other jungle tonight.

And to the original poster's question about their snake, my first instinct is "no, it's not a jungle" but there are traits there so it could be... breeding is the only way to know for sure. It does have the nice 'hold in the head' and some top lateral speckling.

I have a hypo from a litter where the father was a possible jungle that did not prove out, my hypo has some very jungle like saddles but is not a jungle.

Good discussion
