What a whopper of a garter Dan! Love the peekin' viridis pic, tons of variety on these where you are, and that's a pretty hefty spider as well! Those 'yotes look like they could use some kibbles! Awesome post!

...nice stuff...good view...really good view.....rattlers seem meaner in the summer I see.....garter....garter... huge garter man.......nice racer.....and the 'yotes...they look like they got the mange.....?....might...we get it here in PA , seen it in red foxes and skunks.....sad....

Yea, it might have mange. A friend of mine that lives in that area has 2 dogs that got mange after they rolled all over a dead deer that had been chewed on by cyotes.

Dan - Great pics man. That's a red-sided garter is a monster.
Also, is that a Great Plains Toad? If so, I had no idea they existed that far North.

Yea, Its a plains toad, I find quite a few here in Cascade County & have seen them farther north then here too.
