...be patient. At least that was my experience this year. Our pastel female laid her first clutch a couple of months ago and it couldn't have gone much worse. When I opened her tub that morning she had "rolled-out" one of her eggs and decided not to coil around it. I know a lot of times those rolled out eggs are doomed from the start. Then as I gently removed her from the remaining eggs, they proceeded to roll apart like a bunch of marbles. Having no clue as to which side was up anymore, I placed them in their container and into the incubator. Sixty days later, all 5 eggs hatched happy and healthy, including our first pewter. Not that every story is a successful one, just don't give up on them too quickly.
