First thing is that i will wait a few days before feeding to give them time to adjust to the new home. But as to the breathing problem are any mucus bubbles in the mouth or nostrils, does it keep it's head raised toward the top of the cage?

the snake is hissing at you, its a warning. i wouldnt worry about the feeding, if he ate whoopy. but, if hes in a tank it might be the only time he eats. and the more attention you give him right now the more stressed out hell get and the more likely to stop eatting he is. but to answer your question, it was a minor threat display, if you could be right up next to him youd have heard him huffing and puffing to try and scare you away.
