Hi all. I just got a 09 baby boa. Shes my first. Although i wanted to know how to hand tame her down. When i reach for her she trys to bite. Also should i just let her bite or will that hurt me or her too bad? She is about 3 months old and when i pick her up with the hook shes fine till she senses my hand reaching over. I dont want to get rid of her but i cant keep her if she stays this way. Thanks

Usually they will tame down. TRY NOT TO PULL AWAY WHEN BITTEN.
The shock is hard not to, but taking the hook to get her out and
immediately put her in your hands, letting her do whatever will
in time calm her down. My Calico Sunset being a 15 months or so
has not quite calmed down, mostly having to do with me holding
her on a once a week or 2 week schedule. Dont hold the Boa until
3 days AFTER she eats minimum. She can regurge and what have you.
Also after she eats, make sure the Boa is getting at least 83
degree temps, or the Boa will not have proper digestion. Keep a
hot spot around 86-90 so the Boa can thermoregulate. Let me know
if I missed anything

Dont mind her biting me just didnt want it to her. Or me Lol like loosing teeth in my fingers. Would she be nippy if she was in pre-shed? Thanks again

They are more ancy (I like that word lol) in pre shed. Their
eyes become cloudy, hence no vision to see what is touching
them
