What are they??

VAReptilerescue Aug 13, 2009 07:24 PM

I got in 2 rescues that are VERRRRRRY interesting. I don't know what they are, or if they are anything.

One looks very "spider"ish in person, though the pictures don't show it very well at all. In addition to this very reduced pattern, it is a really light color compared to any BP I've ever seen. It came in with a large group of lesser morphs a few months ago, but I really just started to notice this one the other day as being very different from what it was labeled as.

The second just came in and has the funkiest, neatest pattern in a rescue I've ever seen. It gives the impression of a copperhead's pattern when you see it in person. And, the eyes are almost bluish colored. Very, very different. I know nothing about the background, as it was turned in to an SPCA.

Any ideas? I've been around a ton of BPs over the last 12 years, but nothing like either of these..

Thanks,

First one looks like a reduced pattern normal. Second one almost looks like a pastel.

OK, the image didn't look right, so I changed it. http://www.vareptilerescue.org/100_4953.jpg

This is for the aberrant patterned one.

Both look like nice normals to me.. The first does look like a reduced pattern..the second, just a normal with nice blushing. A better picture showing the head and eyes of the second one would show if it has eyes like pastels do....but I have seen a fair number of normals who do have light colored heads and blushing on the back and sides.

I agree with the above.

1 = Very pretty, light normal.
2 = Pastel.
