removing silicon patches

verve May 25, 2003 07:15 AM

i have an aquarium with a false rocky backdrop made of styrofoam. i used silicon to attach it to the back of the aquarium. the problem is, when i ripped the backdrop out, the silicone patches were stuck to the glass. i tried pulling them out but some just won't come out. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Use a single edge razor blade to scrape it off. It's safest if you use it in a paint scraper tool.
