My Collection On Paper (DUW)

fgs Aug 15, 2009 03:49 AM

I was just in the mood to take a few photos tonight, but things got a little out of control.
Here are a couple of photos of a pair or normal sisters I produced in 2005, Chris Silvera Line.

I will attempt to breed both of them to this 2007 jungle.

Here is a photo of my 06 female motley het albino. She is the mother to my sunglow motley litter.

Here is a lipstick sunglow that I will be breeding to the motley. This guy comes from Mike Panichi's paradox litter. I'm hoping he's a super.

These are the hold backs from the 2008 sunglow motley litter. The first photo is of the female sunglow motley then 2.2 of her siblings, all hypo motleys are 66 % possible het for albino.

Female hypo motley poss het albino

Female hypo motley poss het albino

Brother to the sunglow motley. I'm really happy with the way the motley pattern held together on this guy. Normally the hypo gene has a way of messing thigs up.

Another brother from the same mother LOL.....

An 06 male EBV Red Group Hypo.

My 07 male albino motley, Boy do I have plans for him this year.

And last, but not least is my 07 het for Matt Crabe's Red Line Albino. Notice the splash of black on her face. The other side looks like a normal boa's face. I like to think of it as her beauty mark.

Holy Smokes! Your collection is killer insane that sunglow motley is just mind blowing and the large pastel female is so light colored for being that size! I really wish there were more pastels from that line on the market! Good luck with that PastelXJungle breeding that sounds like an great selective breeding plan for sure. Thanks for sharing and great pics BTW 8)

Jake:

Thanks for your comments.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the jungle to Silvera girls. With me it's all about selective breeding.

Hi Brian,

Very nice collection of boas you have there. I never really liked the motley look just to dark of a color of a boa for me. But your hypos, sunglow and albino motleys are changing my mind about them in a big way. I really like the strip in your 07 het for Matt Crabe's Red Line Albino. Thanks for posting the pictures I enjoyed looking at them.

Take care,
Tom

I understand your comment about the motleys. I can't wait to plug in Matts Red Line into the sunglow, albino and hypo motley projects. I'm looking foward to mixing in the Silvera sisters to produce some really clean motleys.

Man that is a top of the line sunglow. And your sunglow mot is doing very well, nice color. What juicy plans do you have for the albino mot

fgs Aug 15, 2009 03:32 PM

So you like the doggie dishes I got at the $ store do you.

Thanks for the comments about the sunglows.

I think I'll keep the albino motley project a secret for now.

Bryan, and chance on making another video of your snake room. We all loved the one you made a few months ago.

fgs Aug 15, 2009 04:16 PM

I don't have any plans right now on making another video, but maybe I'll put something together during the breeding season.

Thanks for asking

Brian, you actually inspired me to make a video. I jsut made one that I would like to post. But I dont know how to post it. Can you tell me.

fgs Aug 15, 2009 04:37 PM

Sorry, I don't know how to do that. My friend Keo took the videos, did all of the editing and put them on You Tube for me.

Wow Brian. They all look great. I especially like the male hypo motley with the great pattern.

I thought you might like to see that striped girl as a baby. When I first looked in the cage, I was so excited to see her climbing up the back of the cage.

With her siblings:

At a few days old. It's weird how that part of her face darkened. You can't really see anything in this pic.

What a beautiful litter that was !

What a nice litter. Some awesome patterns going on in there.

fgs Aug 15, 2009 07:09 PM

What I find interesting is that the stripped female does not show her beauty mark as a baby. If you look at the photo I took the black splashing is on the right side of her face. Your photo of her as a baby shows the same side of her face with out the splashing, interesting huh.

The Silvera females were given back to by Joel Pretz. Joel called me up around a month ago telling me that he was going to be giving them up and wondered if I would want them back. Andy Federico was kind enough to ship them back to me. Rushin Gray originally bought these snakes from me many years ago. Then sold them to Joel. These are sisters of the Silvera female you gave me a few years ago. It's funny how these things work out.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can produce some Silvera jungles. Wow what a clean bunch of babies they will be.

I hope all is well with you bud.

Your motley het albino female is an 06. And she produced your sunglow mot in 08? That means she bred at about 18-20 months old. Is this correct?

fgs Aug 15, 2009 06:47 PM

I'll have to check my records, but I must have bought her in 05. There's no way she bred at 2 years old.

I'm an old man and I was never very good at higher math LOL...
