Hi at all,
Two years ago I bought a breeding pair Central American Boas (La Bahia) (CB 1999) and two females from this pair out of the years 2004 and 2006. When the young females are a Hypo and a Reverse Striped. The genetics of these animals was up to this point has not been resolved.
This year all three females are mated with the male. In the litters of the original female and the Hypo-female were normal animals, Hypos and Reverse Striped animals. This shows it's genetic and no random. If these are recessive or co-dominant gene variants, can't say definitely. The Reverse Striped female is still gravid.
The animals are very dwarf boas. The male is only 47 inch and the female 59 inch.
What do you think ?
Thanks from Germany
Karsten
