i'm feeding a lot of crickets to my baby beardie (4mo. old) and have been thinking about getting silkworms. are they that much better? what kind of difference do they make? are they more difficult to keep? what's your opinion?

i just got 100 really small ones, been feeding them up for about just over a week now and theyve gone from being 1" and under to anywhere upto 2.5-3 inches
beardie seems to like them and its less hassle catching them then feeding them to my beardie. i do find keeping them to be a bit more hassle, not having a mullberry tree i have to get the powered food and cook it up, this stuff dont smell to nice and since i got a telling of for keeping it in the fridge beside that nights dinner i have to freeze it. this means defrosting an amount of this daily which is a bit of a pain
its hard for me to get silkworms here in Scotland so for me crickets are still far easier to obtain and look after, maybe that will change tho
