I think my retinas just got burned. That snake GLOWS. Very nice.

Hi Dave,
Originally it was thought that it was a new line of Caramel Albino, but it has proven to be a seperate genetic mutation. When bred to Caramels it produced only normal looking babies (actually double hets). It is a recessive morph and it looks like breeders in the UK are ahead of us with this project - hats off to them!

Nice Dan... he is stunning!

Jessica,
The Ultramel is a recessive base mutation. I appears that it may be the same thing as the Paragon or Crider Caramel (although it is not a Caramel at all). We won't know for sure if they are the same morph until the different lines are bred together.
The Ultramels produced so far appear to be very robust, and don't seem to have any of the kinking issues that the Caramels have. The other thing I like about them is that they age very well - the photos I've seen of adults are amazing.
Hope this helps,
Dan

Nice acquisition !
I would really like to see one in real life
IF they are better than caramel and have no kink, what can you ask for more ?
they look to be more purple, isn't it ?

love this world, don't hate it.
Nice Snake Dan I will have to head up and check him out in the flesh. I told you that you would like them! Hopfully soon we can breed the diffrent lines together and prove if the Burgundy albino, Crider line, and Ultramel are all the same morph. I think it is likely they are.

Thanks Ryan - I appreciate all of your help steering me in the right direction on this project.

That has to be one of my favorites. Congratulations.
