Question about this hatchling

John Q Aug 17, 2009 06:50 PM

Last year I purchased a friends milk snake collection. I sold off most of it but since I never got what I felt was a reasonable offer on the Hondurans I kept them. I bred an Anery het for hypo to a VP hypo. Some of the hatchlings are double hets and look like they should, just like normals. One of them is definitely a hypo but the background color does not look as orange as its mother. It looks more faded. Is this typical?
The first pic is one of the DH's and the next two are the hypo.
thanks
John Q

Yes, even though it looks different than the other siblings, it is quite normal for there to be different looks to a clutch of that type. Amounts of reds, oranges, blacks, can all vary greatly within the same clutch.

Nice animals BTW!
