Epic Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly! -Story-

Python Dreams Aug 19, 2009 06:04 PM

In the Crystal clutches I produced some Mojaves that were orangish green in coloration... I called them Special Mojaves which added some confusion in the Crystal project. Rodney Roberson at Black Rock Captives said I should use the name Epic which he had been calling his really intense Pastels... I have produced Mojaves, Pastel Mojaves, a Super Pastel Mojave, Pastel YBs, and most recently, a Pastel Mojave YB and Mojave YB all displaying the Epic highlighter trait!
The Epic Pastel Mojave YB is an amazing snake... When compared to a Pastel Mojave YB you can see that it has a much lighter head, reduced pattern, reduced black, and an extreme ringer... Even the Mojave YB displays the ringer, and again, Rodney at BRC told me that it is more blushed out and extreme compared to the Mojave YB that he has produced. I am hoping the extreme ringer is reproduceable when the Epic is mixed with the Mojave and YB together, as opposed to a random occurence. Either way it will be nice to see what the Epic projects produces in the future!
Let me know what you think,
Tom Baker

Tom , I like those! I wonder what would happen if you made a Mystic Potion version of one of these? I'm sure we could swap something out so you could try it and see.

By the way that pic with the tails lined up side by side is very cool! So tell me, how long did it really take to get the pic to come out perfect like that? You have alot more patience than I ever will, very cool pics as always man!

Hey Anthony,
I think I very well might need a Mystic! You've proven those to be badass snakes!

Jeremy,
If my memory serves me correct, I picked you the best of the 2 males I got from last years clutch? Although it is not as extreme as the female that I called Epic from last year, all of the Pastel YBs in that clutch were much cleaner than any others I produced! I would think that it very well could carry the Epic gene! Breeding will tell!

Stunning animals, Tom!

I'm loving the soft, glowy colors, especially at the border of the ringermarks.

Thanks for sharing their tale!

I bred a mojave to a light colored female and I cut the eggs on day 50 and have a white snake in one of the eggs..

do you have any crystal in egg or freshly out of egg pics?

I can see a faint pattern if I look very very hard.

Python Dreams Aug 20, 2009 10:22 AM

Take a photo of the egg and shoot me an email... pythondreams@ca.rr.com I do have Crystal photos in the egg, but alot of my photos are on my old crashed comp and I donot remember if I took any in the egg this year.
